Vintage Camper Inspiration
This week is off to as busy a start as last week, with work, and continuous work on the camper during off time. Its really coming along beautifully and we are making great progress in hopes that she will be ready to roll by this coming weekend for our first camping trip in her!
But before we do, and before we even got started, I did as I always do when getting ready to take on any project...search the world-wide-web for inspiration to get my wheels turning, and boy, did I ever find it this time.....
I don't where these photos came from, as I have been accumulating them on my computer to ohhhh and ahhhhh at from time to time, but if YOU or YOU own them, then hats off to you for your eye for the lovely and obvious decorating talents!
So, with all of these, plus more, gorgeous eye candy to look in on, I am back to work on my OWN lovely vintage camper and promise to post more sneakie peakies real soon!

Sneak Peak Of My Vintage Camper Makeoever & Some Thrifty "Befores"
Hi y'all! Its been a few days since my last post and the reason is quite simple...I have spent every spare moment working on my latest, (and biggest and BEST!) project ever...my vintage camper. We now have the interior almost completely painted, and are working to get all of the cushions covered in new fabric, and slowly but surely beginning to decorate. Before I share with you a tiny sneak peak here are a few "befores" of some things I am working on for the camper....
This watering can was actually a freebie, given to us in a box of items for our yard sale, a donation from a family member to help in our fund raising efforts to buy the camper. Instead of selling it, we kept it and have a pretty cute plan for it!
These cast iron hooks are a dollar store find a few years ago, and were again, part of the yard sale, but one look and we knew these pretties had a home in our new tiny home-away-from-home!
These are the handles that were on the cabinet doors of our camper. Although they were fine, they did not suit the look we were going for so they too have become a before...with a "after" not far behind!
These light fixtures were on the walls of the camper when we got it, in this poor condition, and Melissa (my sister) wanted to toss them. However, because we couldn't really afford new fixtures right now, we decided to give them a makeover! Here they are in their "before" state...afters coming real soon!
And last, but certainly not least, is a tiny sneakie peakie of the camper itself.
I did say it was tiny, didn't I? Well, I couldn't give away TOO much of it just yet..but soon my friends, soon! Until then, I am busy, busy, busy working hard to make her everything I dreamed of. See you all again soon!

My BIGGEST and BEST project ever! Can you guess what it is??
Happy Sunday everyone! How was your weekend? Mine, well, it was busy! On Friday I worked at getting ready for our yard sale, that my sister, Melissa, and I were having together on Saturday. Friday night I had to run my son to a party out of town, but just a 15-20 minute drive, and then drive back to pick him up at 11PM.(Is it just me, or did our generation not do this sort of thing? I mean, I honestly cannot picture my parents driving me to birthday parties in another town at age 13. Things just didn't work like that back then!) Anywayyy...on Friday night we had a sleepover...myself, Melissa, our 4 kids and our parents, and Sis and I were up early Saturday morning to get ready for the yard sale. Unfortunately, the weather was not as eager as us and it rained off and on the entire day, so we did what all resourceful women do- moved it into the shed! The day was not as big a success of our other annual yard sales, but it wasn't bad either, and afterwards we took picture of our yard sale items and created a cyber yard sale on everyones fav networking site- you guessed it- Facebook. So far its going great!
Which brings me to my BIG news (18 foot news to be exact!). The yard sale was to raise money for something we have been wanting for years and this year we are actually doing it!!!! So, without any further delay, here she is.......
She is a 1965, but the name of her nobody seems to know! This is actually a picture from the owners whom we purchased her from, but I was soooo excited to share her with you that I couldn't wait another 2-3 for her to be parked in my yard...I just HAD to share with you NOW! Oh, we have some many ideas for her, and I have found so much inspiration here in Blogland. Do you have some camper pics that might be inspirational as well. I would LOVE to see them, and linky you up with them on a upcoming post, so start emailing me your pics. This is going to be SO MUCH FUN!
Seeya all again real soon!

Distressed Photo Frames Before & After
Hi there! Its another lovely Summer day (minus the random rain showers) and I have spent it finishing up a couple of small projects that I have been working on, and that is these couple of frames. Both were pretty basic....wooden frames that can be bought at any department stores.....
I painted both of them black (spray paint of course!), and then gave the largest frame a coat of red spray paint. I distressed both as you can see....
And after the distressing was complete, gave the inner frames a layer of lovely damask fabric....
I am very happy with how both turned out. Where I will use them is a whole other story!

Blast from the Past....Old Before to After Makeovers!
Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend and are well rested for the back-to-work week ahead. I was off this weekend (I do work every other weekend however) and had planned a beach day with my kids (Keenan, 13, and Kaleb, 8), my sister Melissa (little sister by a mere 11 months) and her children (Haley, 11, and Hayden, 9), but unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate with our plans so I spent most of the day working on a pile of projects that I have on the go, including a set of vintage suitcases, an old brass chandelier, and a giant picture frame. In the meantime I thought I would share with you a couple of old makeovers from a couple of years ago.
I found this chair at a garage sale for just $2, and the stand at Goodwill, also for just $2.
A fresh coat of white paint, a little blue paint, and some shabby chic fabric and the lovely pair are given a whole new life, and my then cottage/shabby chic living room a beautiful new addition!
Hope you have all enjoyed this little walk down memory lane with me. I will see y'all again real soon with lots of new makeovers, and some more oldies. Until then, take care, and have fun!

Before to After...Vintage Laundry Hamper
Hello again! How are y'all doing? I am just great, enjoying the Summer (between work shifts) and working on tons of fun projects! This past week I finished up a vintage laundry hamper that I have been working on. Or at least I think I am finished! Since completing it I have thought of so many great ways to turn it into a fab addition to a girls room, but am still debating whether or not to do it! Oh, decisions, decisions.
I forgot to take a before pic, but it was very similar to this one....
I did, however, get a pic mid way through the project of the cover before!
So, I painted it black, and cushioned and covered the top with this black and white fabric that was once a set of curtains, then trimmed it with yellow ribbon...
But, it still felt like something was missing, so I added the frill. Not sure if it really works...what do you all think?
So, here she is, all finished in black and white with just a hint of yellow!
I am working on MANY more projects that will be finished up in a few days, so be sure to drop back again soon! Seeya then!
